Memory Quilts and One of a kind Quilts
Welcome! Quilting has been part of our history for generations. Quilts have recorded our history, our struggles and our joyful moments.
I am continuing in that tradition by offering a complete turnkey service to provide you and your loveones with a tangible reflection of your family's life. Whether it is a wedding, a celebration of a life well lived, a short composition of early years sport or school shirts, a sample of university's mementos, it can all be captured on a quilt. The above example was made out of Tshirts collected at various Marathon races. The quilt showcases the shirts and is enhanced by embroidered running scenes as well as the name of the runner.
My quilts are always tailored to the character of the person, the event or the memories of such person or event as communicated by my customers. I never use a cookie-cutter pattern. Rather, we decide the size, the mood, the overall feeling that we want to communicate. From the fabric, to the design of the quilt top, to the choice of the back and to the quilting design, everything works together to bring out what the customer wants to convey to the receipient or the future generations.
Quilts can be made for any occasions, may they be equestrian events, sport events, musical recitals or any other special event. Images can be scanned onto fabric for inclusion on the top of the quilt. The possibilities are endless.
The price depends on the complexity of the design, the fabrics, the size of the finished quilt and the density of the quilting design. In general, a simple 30" by 30" would likely cost about $200.00, while the cost could be as much as $700.00 for a larger, more complex quilt.
